In early communications about this portrait commission we discussed the clothes, jewelry, and hairstyle in which Marit would pose. I photographed and drew from life at her home, after which I designed four different compositions in pencil. Marit and her husband Tom approved the sketch/composition from which I completed the final work. Final portraits of Tom and Marit hang together in their living room.
